A copy of the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 – 2024 for the Town of Halifax has been presented to the Halifax Town Board of Commissioners and is available in the Town’s Clerk’s Office for public inspection. A public hearing will be held by the Commissioners at a Special Meeting scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 27, 2023, at Town Hall. Citizens are invited to make written or oral comments.

The proposed budget keeps the current levied tax rate of sixty-six (.66) cents per one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation. Monthly Garbage Collection Fees will increase by $3.00 and monthly Yard Trash Fees will increase by $2.00. Water & Sewer rates will increase effective with the July 2023 billing period. Ex. 2,000 gallons usage will increase by $13.00.
