Help commemorate the beginning of the American revolution while celebrating the anniversary of the Halifax Resolves, the first official call for independence from Britain by any American colony.

Enjoy two days of living history activities, historic weapons demonstrations, military drills, and interact with characters from Halifax’s past. Saturday begins with a traditional Native American ceremony at Magazine Spring, hosted by the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe at 10 a.m. A short military parade will process along King Street at 11 a.m. Guest speakers will present on various topics throughout the day. The festivities continue Sunday from 1PM until 4PM and are centered around Market Square and the nearby speaker's tent. Visit nearby vendors along King Street.
